| Luke Whisnant is the author of Watching
TV with the Red Chinese, a novel, and Street, a chapbook
of poems. His work has appeared in Esquire, Arts & Letters, American
Short Fiction, and others, and has been anthologized in This
Is Where We Live: Short Stories by 25 Contemporary North Carolina Writers,
and Racing Home: New Stories by Award-Winning North Carolina Writers.
Three of his pieces have been reprinted in New Stories from the South:
The Year’s Best. He teaches creative writing and literature at East
